What's the best way to sample for Mimic and NNXT?

I own FL Producer edition so I have access to their Kepler Exo synth but only in demo mode so I can't open anything saved I believe. I like the sound of it but not enough to buy it or upgrade to the all plugin bundle. I just want to make a random patch here and there. So I'd like to know what's the best way to sample what I make with it so I can use it in NNXT and Mimic. Should I just make a recording sample of a C at all octaves? Is there a best method that sounds better as you move up the keyboard?

If you want to get as close as sampling a synth allows for the best would be each note individually. And depending on the characteristics of the synth (filters, modulation, etc.) even some variations of those (again for all notes).

I can do that for NNXT but that won’t work for mimic.

For Mimic or NN19 recording a filter sweep into a long sample and then playing with the sample offset (like we did in the old tracker days) can be a fun way to make music.
