The largest resource of classical music *.mid files... over 19,700 of them. I think most of the MIDI files on this site are in the public domain, so if you need a little inspiration or even want to borrow (steal) some phrases or motifs.. go ahead.

While the music in those midi files is public domain the midi arrangements/recordings sadly are not. So using those (commercially) can be risky. See their TOS for details: https://www.kunstderfuge.com/notes.htm
