I am missing something very simple here but I also give up, this has stopped me in my tracks and I can't progress with what I was doing.

CV Mutant's envelope can be triggered by a CV gate. Once the gate is received, the envelope should play just like in this video at 55 seconds:

I can not work out why mine will not trigger, please help :'(

My set up below:

Your Matrix track is probably muted in the sequencer. Your Mute light is lit on the Matrix, just above the Run button.

Mine is unlit and it works fine. (They should make the LED brighter, it's barely noticeable!)

Thaaanks dude!

That little light is actually pretty handy. You are right I had something soloed in the sequencer hence everything else was muted and I spent all this time in the rack looking for the issue!

Now I can get back to where I was about two hours ago!

Good call man thanks again :)

It's an almost perfect device for my needs but what a shame the trigger rate cannot be syncronized!

The trigger rate is synchronized to the beat by default whether you use Matrix or any other trigger sequencer. What are you trying to accomplish?

So when I hit a note - the envelope plays out, it can do this fast or slow depending on the 'rate' setting. I didn't think this was synchronized in any way. I'd like to be able to set it to a 1/4 note duration, and then change it to a bar duration for instance.

yeah, looks like the playback rate is only set in Hz, not in beats. You can retrigger it in time with your beat, but you can't make it play thru in time with the beat, unless you do some math. 1Hz = 60bpm. 1.5Hz = 90bpm. 2Hz = 120bpm. etc.

Thanks for the calculation idea. It really is a fantastic CV device, the way the playback rate works I didn't end up needing it synced, it was a very specific technique that would be handy but was not necessary. It's actually pretty cool to have a bunch of these next to a synth doing all kinds of things ;)
