Enjoy!

Why not just find the fundamental using the analyser and a frequency to note chart?

Put in a good EQ and see where the fundamental is in the keyboard display of the EQ :-)

Maybe if i train a few years, i will hear it. But my ears suck in such things. Just no talent here.

1. Locate your ear close to the batter head.
2. Have the drummer slam the bejesus out of the drum while you record it
3. Set an appointment with your otolaryngologist
4. Play him/her the recording and have them identify the pitch
5. Not all otolaryngologists are musicians so your results may vary

Its way more accurate and faster for me to just use my ears.

I have tried matching with a note chart but i can't get as good or accurate results using a analyser, and it usually only works for kickdrums.

Try to analyse the freq of a clap or a hi-hat, its impossible for me to use my eyes to find the pitch.

Yeah it takes some hours of practice to learn it but i think its worth it ;-)

Then you can make things like this:

This is one song where i tuned all my drums. I like the sound of it ;)

Don't forget Rob Papens Punch. This can be useful at times.
