I know the Audiomatic gets a lot stick in the forums, but I'm hoping to uncover some of the unique and best uses for it - as well as to try to understand what its actually doing.

One thing I've noticed, is that using the SPEAD preset - Transform set to 0 - can really make Send Reverbs sound a lot more spacious and natural. It seems to alleviate the resonate-y mid range that the RV7000 / RV7 produces on its own and therefore creates some space in the middle of the mix. However I do notice that some serious phase issues occur with the Spread preset.

Do you agree or disagree with the above statement(s)?
Can you share some light as to how the spread preset works, as it sounds very different to the Stereo Imager (wide settings).
