Recording MIDI from an instrument while simultaneously recording Shape envelope triggers?

So here's my setup: I have a midi controller that I'm playing the keys on an instrument with. I also have a Shape that I'm triggering with a rubber button tap on another midi controller. When recording, I play both at once, and it sounds good, but when I play it back, it seems that it's only been recording only the instrument! How do I record both at once?

Reason can only record one Input (MIDI Stream) at the same time.
Unless you can perform both parts on the same controller or somehow route the 2nd controller through the first, I think you are out of luck.

It is a limit of Reason.
The other thing to look into is to see if there is an external MIDI Tool (like maybe MIDI Ox) that lets you aggregate your contollers to one before feeding them to Reason. Could fail badly, be a PITA, or jsut wonderful.

Has anyone else done this? @Poohbear maybe?
