remote mapping transfer between instruments?

I just used remote thingy to map stuff on my mpk mini to things in the subtractor, then opened a nn-xt but the knobs continued to control only the subtractor while the keys were controlling the sampler. why doesnt the signal switch to the new instrument like the keys do and the mod wheel did before i remapped it, and how do i make it do that?
is there a way to have each map save for each instrument? i dont want to have to remap every time i switch instrument.

You should look into writing/downloading Remote maps and codecs for your controller and rack devices.
