I got a message that Syntorial is going on sale, 50% off, 11-23 through 11-26. I have worked though some of the free intro lessons, and I've been very pleased with it. TBH, $130 is already good value. At $65, I'm really thinking of buying.
I know it may be for the synth amateur, and that is what I am. :)

This may be an obvious remark, but since having a greater awareness of synths in general, I've noticed what a huge role they play in very much of what we hear in music, TV shows, movies, etc. I don't knock using/tweaking patches, but I'd like to learn more about thinking of a sound, and being able to create that sound.

Thanks for the heads up. I thought the free lessons were excellent.

I paid less than 3 dollars for a synthesis book with 1600 pages in it :)

"How to Make a Noise: Analog Synthesis"
The only reason it's not syntorial's price is because syntorial has a lot of stuff.
For one, it's a videogame. Then, it comes with a synth.
