This is a usefull Envelopw shape (pyramid) that we can all draw in on grain or Europa. I need this shape for a filter or amp in another synth.

Is there a way of calculating this envelope with old-fashioned adsr ?
I need two approximate calulations
1/ with no release time
2/ with realease time staring at the very peak/halfway point (top of the envelope)

120bpm - 1bar duration
Is it posiible to caclulate this or does anyone have a head for this type of stuff. Thanks.

It should work out like this:

bar_duration [s] = beats_per_bar * 60 [s/min] / bpm [1/min]

attack [ms] = decay [ms] = bar_duration [s]/ 2 * 1000 [ms/s]
sustain = 0
release = 0

Sync the Envelope in Europa, set it to 1 Bar and send it to a CV out. Grab this CV out and patch it into your filter. Every tie you play a note in Europa, the envelope will be egenerated and send to your filter.

Ok thanks again guys. Jam is right there is no sustain or release value on that envelope so i have to sit down and work with that formula.
Yea loque thats a handy workaround alright i have reasnistas sidechain thingy for sending envelopes too .Its only now i realise that alot of envelopes need logarithmic and exponential values that a standard asdr may not have so i have to sit down with charlotte (unfortunatley thats the rack extension ...not a girl ) and try apply jams formula cause i need to learn this stuff in a maths kinda way!

There are 2000ms in one bar at 120bpm so your attack and decay will be 1000ms. Your release should be... 1000ms too I believe and sustain is 0.
