Hi everyone,

I'm new to Reason and I've ran into an issue that is bugging me big time and I'm trying to figure out a way to solve it. I'm recording midi in from an electronic drum kit (an old Simmons SDX.) Everything is working great except I've discovered that the movement of the 'cage' of the ekit is often triggering non-intended pads - hitting the hihat pad will occasionally trigger the snare - they are mounted on the same cage bar, same with tom pad and crash pad, etc.

I'm a fairly hard hitter so I'm thinking one way to resolve this (until I can upgrade my kit) is if there is a way in Reason to set a velocity limit on when midi input is registered. I know after recording I can remove midi notes under a velocity, but I monitor while recording and the extra hits make it very difficult to track.

Any help is appreciated. I'm using Reason 10, if that matters. Thanks!
