Midi out to a Rewired host DAW

I have Reason 10 Rewired in Reaper 5. I want to be able to send midi out of Reason and record that midi in Reaper.

For example, I would be able to record Scales and Chords midi notes out of Reason into Reaper. Is this possible?

Use the EMI to send the midi data out..

I tried. I used loopMidi to try to send midi out of EMI into Reaper, but it didn’t work.

Just as Carly mentioned, It's doable. I made a quick video doing it with Ableton some years back. You have to set up loopmidi as a midi device/controller in Reaper.

Reason & Live have an EMI device that lets you do this. Lets you control other daw sequencers with reason or live, external gear, exe files etc.

Thanks for the help. I was able to make it work by putting EMI>Scales and Chords in a Combinator. I set EMI to loopMidi and set my midi output track in Reaper to loopMidi.
