Bounce to MIDI
I mostly use it for bass lines. I play bass parts on guitar, bounce to MIDI, then apply a bass patch. This gives me a more "realistic" bass performance than playing on a keyboard. Mind you, I'm recording rock, pop, and singer-songwriter type tunes. This technique is probably not necessary for EDM.

Trying to fingeR out similar (CV outs to MIDI - in A-List Drummer Rack Extension) - I've had marginal luck using the Audio to MIDI for this with A-List Drummer. It can be done, and it works - still I think I want something a little more efficient for the tasks I envision. Also - Audio to MIDI does not work when Reason 9.1 is in ReWire mode (connected to REAPER 5.29 in my rig).
