SSL Channel Comp (peak vs fast)?
If the peak button is soft knee vs hard, his exactly is that different from the fast button (which sets the attack to a fixed 3ms). Wouldn't turning on peak mode make it even faster than 3 ms?

from my experience there are 4 different "attack speeds" (I think the peak button has something to do with peak detecting mode vs. RMS detecting mode, but however, I let my ears judge):
slowest attack ... peak off / fast off
faster attack ..... peak off / fast on
even faster ....... peak on / fast off
superfast ...... peak on / fast on
on my remotemap for Console 1 I layed all 4 on one attack knob http://www.reasontalk.com/viewtopic.php ... +1#p246441

Yes, it is indeed peak vs RMS detecting! Thank you for the reply. This helps clear things a bit. I just thought that having peak and fast both (instead of having some knob with set values) was a bit redundant.Ahornberg wrote:from my experience there are 4 different "attack speeds" (I think the peak button has something to do with peak detecting mode vs. RMS detecting mode, but however, I let my ears judge):
