Hi all,
I was browsing through the many latency threads here, and while I understood a bit, it leaves me with more questions.
It would be great if someone did a post/video (or pointed to a vid or article) explaining the following (and hopefully more... how do I know what I don't know?)
1) All latency won't be heard. How do you know when/where to check for one? Or do you just make it a part of the mixing process to check every track for latency?
2) Say you have 5 effects, and while no single effect adds latency of more than 2 samples (or ms?), overall, that would be 10 altogether, which is quite noticeable. How do you address that?
3) For the overall song, how do you fix the latency issues of various tracks?
4) How do "lookaheads" (in certain devices) work?
5) What are some workarounds for latency, even if primitive in nature?

These are just some of the immediate questions that come to mind, but I'm sure I'm missing out on other important pieces of information that I should know while mixing, and if someone could share more, that'd be awesome!

Thanks in advance!

That's only my guess. but lookaheads to my knowledge can only be addressed if reason buffers up in front before actually playing by knowing the device uses lookahead.
