I have Reason 9. I tried to follow along with Trip Hop tutorial, but, when I load Kong, Reset Kong, navigate to Dr Rex Drum Loops, there is no option to expand the loop file into it's component slices?! Does anyone have a clue as to why this may be occurring? Thanks.
Update: Figured it out.

Updated with the latest. Also, some of Ryan's inspirational quotes are pretty damn funny:

Who did such a thing?EnochLight wrote:These were combined into the same thread some time ago...joeyluck wrote:Technically this is a "Quick Mix Fix Trick"
Sorry I didn't notice it some time ago.
Could use a different title if they are going to be combined. But also doesn't hurt to have separate threads for tutorials relating to each series.

Yeah, it was almost a year ago.joeyluck wrote: Who did such a thing?

Feel free to edit to the title! Or do you need me to do it?joeyluck wrote:Could use a different title if they are going to be combined. But also doesn't hurt to have separate threads for tutorials relating to each series.

I gotta say that the tip about mixing in mono is excellent. From time to time I've heard people talk about the importance of checking mono compatibility for club systems, but I didn't appreciate how useful it also is for mixing levels too.
Being able to assign a keyboard shortcut to switch to mono with one key press is insanely useful and I can already see this becoming a very staple part of my mixing sessions.
Here's another great article on the subject:

Yeah that mono tutorial was amazing. I never do that, and tried it straight away, and the results were very noticeable. And that keyboard shortcut, I had no idea you could even do that! Unfortunately I blocked one of my ears yesterday swimming, right in the middle of a crucial project, so I'm hearing in mono anyway.

I didn't know you could do this either (assign global keyboard shortcuts, like you would for transport buttons, to individual buttons in the rack)!

PH are often getting trash for every shortcoming - perceived or real - but you have to give them that: hiring Ryan was a very wise management decision. One that may in the end have more effect on sales than many gadgets they could add inside Reason.joeyluck wrote:The latest video was discussed on Sonic Talk @ 25:08

I'd like to see some classic, old and future house cheats . thx [emoji11]ryanharlin wrote:Yeah hey guys! What other drum styles should I do? I'm making one as we speak about how to make trap beats... but after that I want to make some more and I want to make sure they're useful to people.
Some people suggested Dubstep and I could do that but I also feel like dubstep tutorials are SOOOO overdone. But if you guys feel differently, I'll make one.
Someone on Youtube suggested trip-hop, which I could do.
I was also thinking of modern electro pop styles (think Taylor Swift or Dr. Luke's Ke$ha or Katy Perry stuff).
Anything you guys want to see covered?

I'll tell you... in this latest video I had a quote: "Not all holes are created equal" and it was really hard to come up with a fake attribution for that quote.EnochLight wrote: ↑16 Jan 2017Updated with the latest. Also, some of Ryan's inspirational quotes are pretty damn funny:
For one thing, there's the obvious joke opportunity to attribute that quote to a porn star's name but that's just too risque for a PH video.
I considered Tiger Woods... holes like golf holes... I considered Courtney Love, as if she was saying the quote about her band Hole. But I just couldn't get one that quite clicked for the quote. I went with Fred the Baker because I figured maybe someone might go "who's that" and google it, and then they'd get the connection.

Hahah! Nice. I didn't even catch that, but funny enough - I just had a box of Donut Holes a few days ago!ryanharlin wrote: ↑01 Aug 2017I'll tell you... in this latest video I had a quote: "Not all holes are created equal" and it was really hard to come up with a fake attribution for that quote.... You're lucky to live in a Dunkin Donut part of the country. San Francisco isn't so lucky.

My mid-40's dad body disagrees with that statement.

haha true. When I was in New Orleans recently I saw that they now have combo stores that are Dunkin Donuts and Baskin Robbins ice cream. It's like some kind of shrine built to giving up even trying.
