Both Softube Amp and BassAmp don't null when bypassed?
Anyone have any insight as to what is going on here, is this normal?

That Saturation/Drive devices don't null when active is exactly what one should expect I would have thought seeing the essence of them is movement.
Not nulling when Bypassed (and bypassed from where to be accurate?) is odd. Can you show your work please?

Simple set up;
Create an instrument.
Create a parallel channel.
Invert that parallel channel using say Selig gain or the invert button on the main mixer.
The two channels cancel out.
Now drag in the Amp or BassAmp as an Insert effect to one of those channels and bypass the device.
Theoretically, there should be be no change to the signal and the two channels should still cancel out.... But it doesn't. Almost like the Amps roll off the hi end even when bypassed?

This is why I asked if you could show us exactly what you are doing so if there is a flaw in your method, it could be explained.

Softube devices maintain a consistent latency when bypassed. This makes it possible to bypass a device and not change latency values - meaning among other things you could use a second device in bypass on a parallel channel to compensate for latency.
