Some synths get a lot more attention and traction than others, so there's an absolute treasure chest of gear that flew under the radar.

Until recently I had no idea that these fantastic synths existed and now they are welcome additions to my workflow:

1) Tone2 / Icarus 3
2) DS / Thorn
3) Vengeance Sound / Avenger 2

What's your top 3 the under-rated / sleeper / secret weapon synths?

I tried the Tone2 synths a few times, but they never convinced me.

Thorn is just fat.

Avenger is big, but not much fun to program, because of the many features.

Not sure if any of my vst synths are secret weapons but the ones I like I do not hear spoken about much are Adam szabo viper, dawesome myth and dawesome novum.

+1 for DS Thorn. I'm amazed it has never gotten much attention.

For a couple more days, you can get DS Thorn for $25 with code "HALLO-2499" at checkout:

A while back, I lucked out on a free monophonic version of Thorn from Beat magazine.
