Plugin Missing Update Waves VST2 to VST3

I've been out of the game for about a year and a half. I just loaded up Reason and updated to the newest version, 12.7.1. My Waves plugins were missing so I updated the latest Wave Shell. All my Waves plugins have now updated and show in Reason as VST3. When I open an old project it says I'm missing a plugin, the Waves J37. It shows the J37 as a missing VST2 in the program. I can see the J37 in my effects list but it is VST3. How do I update within Reason to get the old loaded J37 Waves VST2 to switch and load as the VST3?

I've never found a way to get a project to automatically switch to use the VST3 variant of anything and not just in Reason. Your only option is to install the VST2 version and either use that or manually switch it for the VST3 version and make the settings match.
