Stutter Edit track

I just picked up Stutter edit because I've really enjoyed Buffre. I'm having a brain fart here and can't create a track to record the midi performance for Stutter Edit. What is the silly thing I'm missing? Thanks in advance!

Not at my pc but don’t you just right click on stutter edit and create track then start recording and play stutter edit as an instrument?

You might have to also manually add a note lane to the track that you/was created for stutter edit.
