So why is everybody loading SSL-style channel plugins on every track in other DAWs then?

The stock channel EQ (and the rest of the SSL channel) in Reason is the equivalent of the most used plugin across all DAWs and across all plugin brands

i’m not saying it’s not a good eq ( should have made myself clear )

it has fixed points and small q ranges , like i will find myself using, the m class eq for more specific eq cuts

wish it had more points and you could drag them
where you want and steeper curves for the high and low pass filters

than the main eq

which is so expensive ( when there are so many good free vst available)
which is why i don’t go 100% rack extension
if this was $25 or
something i would

You can switch between two Q-ranges, and drag the EQ-points, both in the EQ/analyzer window. Besides that, it is the EQ that was used to mix and produce hundreds, if not more, very successful records over the decades.

to me an eq is an eq ( some have nice colour for vocals etc ) but for a visual eq i just wish it had more control is what i mean but your probably right bud
