This is one of the nicest sounding tape plugins I've heard - not so much for out-there weirdo tape FX, but just for the classic saturation/low-end bump/high end compression thing. It's tasty

That is probably why. Those Chipsets are of really great quality.

Yeah the difference since getting out from under Rosetta has been amazing. Even Acustica plugins - which are excellent but kinda ridiculous in terms of CPU - now barely nudge the meter
