$99
Intro Price of $49
Upgrade for Minimonsta owners for $25

Minimonsta2 features
  • a new fully resizable UI
  • an improved audio engine
  • a powerful new Preset Browser
  • over 300 new presets
  • a new Reverb effect
  • a Vintage control for adding subtle analogue imperfections
  • four programmable Macros
  • selectable 4-stage envelopes
  • an alternative bass-preserving ladder filter
  • PWM for OSC1 and much more

The patch morphing on the original is my favorite feature. That is one reason I reach for Minimonsta. I can use my keyboard without knobs to affect patches, which is very cool. I was hoping for a GUI and browser overhaul with that in place. I'll probably give Minimonsta2 a try, but I prefer the patch morphing via keys. Might be able to still assign something to have that effect?

Thanks. It sounds fantastic but will give it a miss as I’ve got most of them at this point.

I wonder if they will update their other synths.

The original still one of the best ( and one of my 1st vsti’s )loved the morph function so it’s a no brainer with the upgrade price

They recently updated Oddity along the same lines. Expandable UI, Macros, expanded modulation options, three skins to choose from, etc.

Does the £25 upgrade price include VAT? And is the upgrade available anywhere cheaper than on GForce own site?

I see £49.99 EX. VAT which would make it nearly 64$ for me or around 60€.

On JRR i would pay around 50 euro.

I just registered Minimonsta which I got cheap. Minimonsta2 isn't on their product page. I found it following a link but when I click add to basket it goes to another page which says your basket is empty.

Same here: Your basket is currently empty. :?: :?: :?:

Thought I was being clever buying MM1 for cheap and upgrading for €25. By the time they'd added VAT and everything it worked out about the same as buying it straight from JRR. (which I probably wouldn't have done.) Oh well, at least I can see the GUI and it does sound really good. :)

Next question. Now I've got Minimonsta and Minimosta2. Can I use the Minimonsta Patches in Minimonsta2? Or are they the same? I also got some extra patches for Minimonsta on the Gforce website. I have no idea what the hell I'm doing today. Crazy bargain hunting GAS going on.

Edit: Ok...looks like the Minimonsta1 patches are built in to 2. BUT...can I use the extra patches from 1...they don't seem to be anywhere and they're a different file type.

I got MiniMonsta as a freebie a couple of years, though for the life of me I can't remember where. Wasn't PiB, might have been Novation or Beat magazine?? Anyways, the 25£ upgrade is easy to take :)

I thought I was being clever by buying a really cheap Minimosta then registering it and getting the upgrade for £25. After GForce added VAT and PayPal took their rip-off conversion fee I was pretty much up at the normal shop price. €55 or something. I would not have bought it going that road. I’ve got The Legend and both Vikings and I’m pretty sure they do much of the same thing as Minimonsta2. So there you go. Buyers remorse and lesson learned for this week. Don’t succumb to GAS when your head is cloudy from 3 days of no sleep. If anyone wants to say something nice to make me feel better about the purchase then please do.
