Disappointing there still isn't a way to put the different "snapins" within the feedback loop of their delay.

Last I inquired about it the response I got was that the SDK caused too many limitations. Hopefully they’ll revisit the format in the future.

Speaking of delays, I was looking for a holy grail few months back (bought a couple expensive 3rd party plugins), and finally settled with Reasons Echo. The only one that always delivers the sound that I want to achieve at 80-100 BPM. I used to use double DigitalDelays before to get similar ping pong effect, but a few Echo's presets just do the same job a bit better. And I always use them as inserts. On SENDs they do not act as I wish them to act.

Yea, agree. No feedback loops at all. Would be awesome.

If you have processed pianos the tap delay is pretty nice also.

Vst 3 is the future.. Its like garlic bread.

Yet in reality I have no idea what is different between vst2 or 3 versions of my plugins. Both work πŸ€”

For the user there is usually no real difference, but for the developer the API has a pretty different flavour. Thus most devs used to code using the much smaller (in terms of spec) VST2 API and only started to take up VST3 as Steinberg gradually forced nudged them to do this.

No FX breakouts for the feedback loop is a limitation, but still I really like this plugin. The UI is so well designed, great visual feedback and I love the way you just set the second delay as a ratio of the first. Super fast to work with, I can see myself using this a lot

can't manage to achieve desired ping pong ratio on plucks. So just settled with using it as insert all the time. But to be honest, I never used SENDs before in my music, so there is a lot to learn for me.

Thanks for the info. I assumed their must be differences and wondered if vst3 had additional functionality but as a simple end user with no coding/ development knowledge I haven't given much thought than that. Is one better than the other for developers?

Well, VST3 offers quite a few additions for developers, but most of those were also available as extensions to VST2 for developers who needed those special features. VST3 standardised them to some extend but not every dev is happy with the way Steinberg did it and thus the new open CLAP plugin format has been designed by some well known plugin developers.

Interesting because there is no reason I can think of for the sonic difference - but keep doing what is working (and dig into sends if you have time, a valuable technique to understand and use IMO).

Is it possible to use Snap Heap to host this plugin ?

Snap Heap is VST 2 compatible from what is presented on the product page

The plugin is like a mini host where you can load and combine different effects
