Using Reason with VST Plugins: Can't use Midi CCs?

It seems no midi CC information passes down to the plugin level in Reason? Why is this done?


Yes you can set up remote controls in the DAW level, but this is about as frustrating a choice as I have ever encountered in a DAW.

For example I have plugins that already have complex configuration and control layers inside the plugins, and profiles and configurations that I have already set up. These operate fine in most DAWs, but not in Reason.

Surely if people are playing DAWs as part of live rigs, or using them in studios where there are complex plugins that receive midi CC information that is part of a keyboard live playing or playback session, having Midi CCs both pass through live and record into clips and then play back into plugins seems so fundamental and useful that I am shocked that in Reason it is not a consideration, not even a feature? And we are where now? 12 major releases into this very mature DAW?
