This is an excellent plugin - dual band, process hi & lo independently with adjustable crossover, useful on all kinds of sources (not just drums). A no brainer at this price
Softube Transient Shaper for $11.00
So who is using this transient shaper. And for what.

Do you know what the transient of a sound is? It all goes from there. Lowering or emphasizing the transient of certain sounds is a mix tool, a way to bring certain sounds forward or backward in the mix without changing the overall level of the sound.
Let's say you have a kick that is a great sound, but its attack isn't cutting through your mix. This isn't easy solved with EQ or compression. A transient shaper can work wonders here. Transient shapers are mostly used on percussive sounds and plucked sounds. It can do wonders on an acoustic guitar, for example.
You can pick up a very good FREE transient shaper here: https://plugins4free.com/plugin/2777/
Just try that one out and hear what it can do (this one has been my go-to transient shaper for years).

Another excellent freebie is Couture from Auburn Sounds.
Note, the Saturation section (highlighted) is only available in the paid version, but without it the transient shaper alone is still really useful.
