Buggy GUI and no obvious way to load any presets that ship with the VST. I think this one will be uninstalled, even though the effects are useable. :-(

I'm having the same issue (i.e. Reason not seeing the plugin on Mac). Where did you find the older installer?
I did however contact them recently to get the download link for the latest VST2 version of SA-2...and that was version 6.7.1. So I took a guess and edited the link to point to EC-300 and got the download for that in version 6.7.1 and it works.

YES, thanks Joeyluck! The 6.71 OSX version installed fine, it put the VST2 into the right place, and it works without a hitch in Reason.

I think the AU and VST3 support presets. I think think that's the case for their other plugins too. So might be worth checking again after Reason has VST3 support.

This thread is a good example why VSTs suck.

And why it sucks, that Reason still doesn't support VST3.

I couldn't find the release notes to know what the latest version was with VST2 support...

I was going to contact them to make sure it's the latest, but it seems to be working. Switching GUIs seems to be a little buggy sometimes—the top portion doesn't update until you hover over it (or close and reopen the window). Hopefully VST3 support for Reason isn't too far off, so I can get up to date then...

If anybody has a link to release notes, let me know!
Thanks, that worked. Yeah the UI is a bit dodgy but it sounds great, especially on the analog setting. Almost passed on this one because I have a ridiculous number of delay plugins, but I'm glad I grabbed it

I'm running the VST3 version using Blue Cat Audio's Patchwork and no way I can see to load presets.

It says presets are included, but they need to be downloaded separately for VST2.

From the FAQ: https://www.mcdsp.com/support/plug-in-s ... pport-faq/
Where are the VST3 presets installed on the Windows system?

Location of VST3 presets on Windows

C:/Users//Documents/VST3 Presets/McDSP/

I am trying to use one of your VST[2] plug-ins but I cannot find any presets.

Since we only recently released VST2 presets, they are not currently included in the plugins. Please download them here: http://downloads.mcdsp.com/v6/VST_prese ... resets.zip
They are fxb patches, which should be able to be loaded by Reason's VST device in the rack. I can't get them to load though...

Do people really need presets for a device like this?

If a Delay can produce good flanger effects, slap back, reverb, chorus and more, than yea, presets are useful...

Finally was able to get the vst in the right folder and reason to recognize it, and it now works... But crashed within five minutes of me loading it and playing around. Trying to adjust the EQ on the digital mode seems to consistently cause it to crash Reason on my Intel Mac running Monterrey.

I haven't been following that closely, but is vst3 support still supposed to be coming sometime this spring?

Did they say "this spring" or just say "spring"? Because spring is coming. Then the one after that will be coming. :D

They probably meant spring in the air as in “you can go and take a jump if you think anything will get fixed”.

McDSP has been in touch to tell us that their EC-300 Echo Collection is free for a limited time, starting March 2nd, 2022 at 8AM PT.
A spokesperson told us, "Get the sounds of dozens of echo and chorus effects in a single plug-in. The EC-300 Echo Collection is packed with creative options to handle all your time-based effects needs. Features include magnetic, digital, and analog modeled delay types, mono, stereo, and dual delay modes, tap tempo and session tempo sync, wow, flutter, and other modulation options, and synthetic impulse models of devices such as cell phones, radios, televisions, and more. This copy of the EC-300 is fully functional and operates without any performance restrictions."

Pricing and Availability:
Free from March 2nd, 2022 at 8AM PT
EC300 is really helpful, this hosts two separate delay lines, which can be configured in single, parallel, or ping-pong modes. Single-mode provides just one delay control, producing the kind of delays you might expect from a single-head tape echo, while dual mode provides separate controls for the two delay lines, which by default are panned hard left and right. In ping-pong mode, delay one feeds into delay two.
