Voltage Modular Ignite 8,50€ at PB is it worth it ?
Saw this deal yesterday at Pluginboutique, my last synth purchases were indeed synths like mercury4, DCO106 and CA2600 by cherry wich are quiet nice sounding emulations, but as reason user is it worth to buy another virtual modular stuff.. the only real big thing i listened on cherrys hompage was this VM2500 collection for modular. Someone trialed voltage?

If you like modular synths, why not? Since it's pretty cheap. I've heard people around here saying that it works great in reason. I bought it cheap to, but used it rarely. Something puts me of and I don't really know what. I think vcv2 is now the most attractive modular option to consider if you like eurorack emulation. But you really get a lot if you're willing to pay.
I started with softube modular and liked some aspects of it. Kinda clunky, but the sound I was getting out of it was very satisfying. Also not cheap, but if you know how to employ basic modules it can be a very rewarding and not that expensive purchase.
So, I guess I put Voltage on 3th or even 4th place. Because in terms of modular, Reason wins it for me.
Every time I see something interesting being done in a modular synth, I immediately fire up Reason and try and see if I can pull it off with reason. Most of the time I get pretty close.

Yes, for ten bucks, it's a decent modular beginning point. 22 modules covering most of the basics. And if you really twig to it, you can upgrade to Core for $50. Core is a monster. It includes the Plugin Host which you can use to run VST3 and AU inside Reason.

It's a good price for Ignite but if you are in any doubt then go get the free Nucleus edition:
https://store.cherryaudio.com/bundles/v ... ar-nucleus
It's got enough modules for you to make useful stuff and to get a feel for how the product works.
