Not bad. I hope they add some good non-linear modes and different types.

If they now improve the UI of each of their plugins and charge 80 bugs or so for each one, its a good business for them...Dunno, makes 400-800 bugs for the whole big bundle?

Along with the classics...A filter type that does the waldorf thing, would be awesome!

Fabfilter are right up there with my favourite plugins but Volcano is not one I make much use of so I'm unlikely to upgrade (unless the upgrade is free!)

Yeah. I’ve been waiting for this.
Fantastic news. Volcano is a great sound bender as it is but it’s looking shabby next to the rest of their lineup.

Actually, I’m super excited by this.
After the timeless 3 update you could see exactly where Volcano was heading. And it’s exactly that. This is gonna be insane.

What's the Waldorf thing? Someone should make a plug-in that emulates the broken, crackly Waldorf 4-pole that Pole used as the basis for their sound.

Well, it’s out.
I just bought it but didn’t have time to get stuck in. Still, at a glance it’s everything I hoped.
It’s like proQ but with all the envelopes and transients and filter types etc.
What a beast.

£32 upgrade from V2 for anyone who’s curious.

Wouldnt it be better to wait until BF?

40€ for a filter update is, well, nothing i am willing to pay...

I much prefer UVI Shade, I just don't get/like the Fabfilter UI, seems fiddly and dated.

I am eyeing Shade too. Pitch-tracking and stereo spreading is interesting. It also has some special filter types which could be a nice addition.

I speculate that Shade goes on sale at around 60€ and therefor only 20 more than the Fabfilter Vulcano 3....🤔

Anyone other than me had any crashes in R12 with Volcano 3?
Specifically while fiddling with the Filter Output Pan knob? (That's the one on the right, not the one linked to the Freq Knob)
Not 100% reproducible but I've had 3 or 4 crashes now. Not sure who to report it to these days...
