This slipped under my radar. Released last month. The Challen is my favorite piano (from the Abbey Road Keyboards ReFill). I'm pretty happy with the ReFill version.

Isn’t that what was in the Abbey Road refill. If one had the Abby Road refill; which no longer exist, could we share it?

As I mentioned, it is a piano in that ReFill—a different recording of it by Propellerhead.

The Abbey Road Keyboards ReFills consists of:
- Challen Piano
- Hammond RT3 Organ
- Hannborg Harmonium
- Mellotron M400
- Mrs Mills Piano
- Premier Tubular Bells
- Schiedmayer Celeste

No, it cannot be shared.

I was thinking that maybe any RE, or Refill that are no longer in production should be free. It is not the public fault when a company no longer sells an item or closes their doors. Maybe RS should put in a clause for developers that given 12 months after they close their doors that they retain the rights to issue the item/items to become free for public access. To be fare the rule would be for any developer including RS. Just a thought.

By the way I wouldn’t share without permission.

No, whether something is discontinued or not does not change the usage agreement and does not grant permission to share it. Abbey Road Keyboards ReFill was discontinued because they had reached the end of the rights agreement with Abbey Road. Cinesamples last had products based on the pianos and their agreement expired recently and those products discontinued. I'm not sure if Spitfire's agreement with Abbey Road is any different.

Wow I didn’t know there was an agreement for I believed RS had created it and not Abby Roads. So I guess that has happened with Line6 and a few others. I’m glad I got Abby Roads when I did, but I sure do wish they say “ get it while it last” because that would make me make sure I had it in my arsenal.

Thanks for clearing that up for me.
