what i want to know is does the plugin really make a big difference in sound or can you achieve similar results easily with standard eq, compression etc ?
if it indeed makes a huge difference im willing to buy it.
can someone give me an honest opinion of ozone elements vst ?

It is given free from time to time. But 29 is still good value of you cannot wait.

$30 is almost the permanent price it goes on sale at. Also been free plenty of times the last few years.
This bundle is much better value if you can stretch the budget:

The transient shaper in Neutron is real nice, and Trash 2 is as good or better than any distortion on the market. Iris is a very unique spectral sampling synth.
Phoenix and Excalibur are world class reverb and delays with ugly GUI but great presets.
