I had my eyes on an Orange in a shop in Glasgow in 1985. First time I’d ever seen one in real life. Orange as you like and massive knobs. The Velvet Underground had one at one point. Otherwise the used Vox (hint). Anyway I didn’t have any money as I only had a Saturday job in a record shop and my £12 a day went on records.

Just tried the VST. Totally brilliant. Be an instant buy as soon as the RE appears. Hopefully that'll be while the Kuassa sale is still on.
One thing I was wondering about...If you move the mics around the sound drops out and crackles until you stop moving them. Is that usual with Kuassa amp VSTs?
Also...you can load IRs into the VST...is that just a VST thing 'cos I've never seen it on any of the Rack Extensions?

Matchlock is the only Kuassa amp I don't yet own, I think I'm going to go for the VST instead of RE.

Yeah, couldn't resist, got the Matchlock VST. I was a really good boy all over Black Friday, never got a thing, although tempted, but after playing a bit with these 2 VSTs my will broke, Matchlock definitely has that fender vibe and is enough different from the other amps from Kuassa to warrant a purchase. I really thought I was going to get through all the sales purchase free, but I'm very happy with these 2 amps.

Yip, if not for loading IRs I would go with RE every time, but I was demoing IRs with the VSTs and it just opens up a whole other dimension to already very good amp sims, all my other Kuassa amps are RE though.

IR are samples and sample loading is possible in a RE.

The new Orange VST supports IR loading. The RE version isn’t out yet so it’s possible it will.
I haven’t tried any other Kuassa VST so I don’t know if they can load IRs. The RE counterparts don’t.

Edit: just checked. All the VST amps have an IR loader.

You can bypass the cab A and cab B, then load the RV7000 after and load your favorite impulse. It works fine in the this way!

Happy to hear that! The range from clean to monster gain, trough crunch is awesome
