that did it thanx... now to wait for my mac with a proper operating system to return.... after an 8 month battle with apple... 6 external drives fried in two days... and countless hours replacing the 17 terabites of data that a firmware update fried... and months on the phone to apple for multiple weird issues... they have replaced the logic board , but I was told my time machine backup did not restore properly... then all tech support went on "holiday" and I hear the main tech guy is now sick... ... apple store has had it for 2 weeks tomorrow sigh( was supposed to get it back within the week... um... nope).... like pulling teeth I say... I just know although they said they could restore my computer with the backup... it won't happen and I will have to reinstall everything from scratch again... man... fed up with apple ... barely can make it on the net with the old powerbook I am stuck using in the meantime... that was why I asked... the one and only browser on this old computer has trouble accessing 4 sites so far, but gets to most of them. missed a few free limited time free downloads in the meantime. The computer was brand new... none of this should have occurred being I even have apple care.
