I already had Neutron Elements (earlier version)

Saw Elements 3, thought Oh cool, this might have some more features

Turns out the EQ in Elements (earlier version) has eight bands, while the EQ in Elements 3 has only four. Apart from some minor UI tweaks, no other apparent differences. Unless I'm missing something?

No idea. Nothing I’m going to use but thought others may like to get it. Oh well...now you’ve got both in any case :).

For my money it's basically a nice punchy compressor and a decent basic EQ. So, not completely useless. But it's weird how version 3 has less going for it than 1

I'm sorry but you are wrong, in Neutron 3 elements, you can add a lot of bands (12) by clicking on the right place.

Plus an exciter and a transient shaper. And V3 has more going for it than 1. The EQ has 12 bands which you can add by clicking anywhere on the spectrum.
If you can't make a hit with Malstrom, Subtractor and Redrum, you can't make a hit at all.

Yeah I know it has those - don't like them though. Much better options elsewhere. But the comp and the EQ are pretty good

Thanks for this.

Also Ozone 9 Elements is free at Sweetwater.com right now but you must have an American IP :)

I have recently purchased the NEUTRON 3 ELEMENTS software.

forgive my ignorance as doing mastering and production is new to me in REASON

When you are mastering a track do you - bounce the tracks to wav files then load them into the reason sequencer again with the neutron 3 elements sitting in the mixer section of the screen so its mastering the whole of the track at once, or do you add it and mastering the various individual tracks ?

what has been for you using this tool the best way to get results?

I purchased ozone 9 elements too at the same time, do you use this alongside neutron 3 elements or do you use these for separate aspects of mastering your songs?

appreciate I am opening myself up to ridicule on this site with these questions but if don't ask I don't learn!

I can assure you man...that will never happen on RS. Good bunch of folk. Ask whatever you want and you'll more than likely get a helpful and friendly answer.
