Is there a VST that does note filtering/coercion into key similar to the Scales and Chords Player?

One of my favorite features of Scales and Chords is that you can set a key and scale, and then filter out notes that don't fit, or coerce all notes to be in key. Are there any VSTs that do this midi note filtering? It would seem like a basic thing, but I can't seem to find any in my searching. I have friends who don't use Reason so I'm trying to suggest ways to achieve this type of note filtering. Of course the Reason Rack Plugin is a solution, but I'm also just curious if there are VSTs that do this.

As a VST, probably, somewhere...

Typically in VST-land, though, the DAW has some functions which can provide this kind of thing, or it won't. It's also the case that a lot of controller hardware has some limited versions of this functionality built in.

Ultimately, like everything in the sphere of VST, there is a lack of standardization.
