Not all of their plugins are on sale but there are some good ones for only 20 bucks.

I bought Nexcellence but wish I’d waited and got Springbox instead. Also waited for Echo but that didn’t go on sale.

These aggressive sale prices are annoying. I wanted to buy the PSP multi delay a couple of months ago but didn't because I knew it would be on sale at some point. Then Arturia did a crazy deal on fx collection so I bought that and now I can't really justify buying another Delay when I just got 3 new ones. It's like you never know what to get because paying full whack is stupid as it will most probably be on sale at some point. Why can't these companies just charge a fair price and keep it consistent?!

What in particular did you like about the PSP multi-tap? I’ve got quite a few but wondered if there’s anything special about the PSP one. I think I’m going to have to put my head down and just buy Springbox. Really kicking myself. 20 plus 20 plus 20 etc.

The level of control over each 'Tap' of the delay is awesome, each strand can have it's own filter and modulation , level settings etc. Most delays are kind of like reverb, an ambient tail that does it's own thing. With the multitap you can sculpt the delay like an additional synth voice.

How come you prefer Springbox over Nexcellence?
I'm very interested in Springbox as I'm a big fan of spring reverbs. Cheers

I'm using them both on guitar. I like Springbox better because of the two separate dry and wet knobs which give me better control in getting the sound I'm after. Springbox also allows for longer reverb times than Nexcellence which I found to be pretty short even on max. In addition Springbox sounds airier and brighter than Nexcellence which is quite dark and muddy (not a bad thing). As I understand it Sprinbox is modelled after a classic hardware rspring reverberation and Nexcellence is modelled after a necklace reverb in which the springs hang (like a necklace :) ). I guess it's a matter of personal preference and the sound you're looking to get out of them. I solved the problem by getting them both. Use the code Forum at JRRShop to get them a bit cheaper and it doesn't hurt so much.

Sweet, thanks for your time in explaining the differences and the reasons for Springbox to be your preference. I'm going to have get Springbox, only have 2 other spring reverbs which I feel is somewhat limiting when it comes to choice.

If you’re quick you can try them both but I’m guessing you’ll like Springbox best. By the way, Eventide Spring is on sale but I’ve no idea how it sounds.

I just bit the bullet and got Springbox, sounds great, really dig it.
Yeah I saw Eventide Spring on sale which has me curious as I also have no idea how it sounds, but I really want Arturia's Rev SPRING-636, from the videos I have seen it sounds amazing. Do you have Arturia's Rev SPRING-636?

No. I didn’t even know about it until today. Am a bit curious about U-he Twangström. You should maybe give Nexcellence a try out too. I think the sale is in for another 6 or 7 days.

U-He Twangstorm does look very interesting, lots of functionality and manipulation possibilities, sounds pretty sick too from the videos I've watched.
I'll give Nexcellence ago and see what I think. I am digging SpringBox atm

I quite like OldTimer Vintage Compressor for it's tonal character and control, I prefer it on vocals and instruments. Sounds better on individual drum sounds than the drum bus, I much prefer the MasterComp on the drum bus because you can get more perceived loudness and it sounds cleaner/tighter/punchier.

MasterComp is far more transparent than OldTimer. On the drum bus it seems to add a bit of clarity and punch without a tonal change which I think is a great option to have, especially with the amount of processing that is on single shot drum sounds today. The sidechain filter is great to have also, especially for the drum bus. Great compressor to have if you just want to tame/control something without imparting a tonal change. I really like it, sounds really good to my ears. One of my favourite bus compressors at the moment.

I really like both of them because they are quite different sounding from each other while still sounding really good.

A bit of time has gone by now so I just thought I’d write a couple of lines on how Springbox and Nexcellence are working out. After getting them both I was a bit doubtful about Nexcellence if I’m being honest. Springbox in the other hand I loved straight away. Late last night I was jamming a bit of blues with myself. Guitars going through Matchlock. Just to see I put Nexcellence in the rhythm guitar and Springbox in the lead and bang!!! I’m so glad I bought them both. Really, really nice.
So...if you’re a guitarist and there’s ever a sale in those two then I’d say get ‘em. I think I paid $19 each but they are seriously going to get a lot of use which is something I can’t say for many REs and VSTs I’ve bought in the past.
That said, I finally found a use for Directre after 8 years (see another thread) so there’s still hope for all those impulse buys I guess hahaha.

Which thread? I got Directre when it came out, mucked around with it for a week or so and haven't touched it since
