Hello. I'm trying to use Reason 11 as a VST plugin in Logic Pro X but it doesn't show up in Logic as a VST to choose.
I've tried Googling but I keep finding a zillion websites talking about how Reason 11 will work as a VST plugin , but none talking about HOW to do it. Can someone help me?

Also, can I load a project into this Reason Rack plugin?

Thanks!

I’m not a Logic user but I’m pretty sure Logic cant’t load VSTs. Its format is AU and most plugins come in both formats so “VST” is often used as a catch-all term.

Reason 11 isn’t available in AU format yet, though I think it’s due before the end of the year. You’ll have to wait for that.

As for projects - no, the rack won’t load projects. Best to think of the rack as a super-combinator instrument or effect chain. You’d load multiple racks within your Logic project and use Logic’s sequencer instead.

Logic does not support vst plugins, it only supports mac format plugins called .AU plugins.
But you are in luck because propellerheads have promised that they'll be releasing the .AU plugin by the end of this year.
I've also bought reason 11 but my Ableton live version doesn't support vst3 format but it supports .AU. so im waiting for them to release the .AU plugin.
(Reason plugin is vst3 only, and .Au plugin will be released later this year)

Pity that poor coder. Pressure when all he/she wants to do is wind down after a stressful sprint to Reason 11.

They're called au plugins though. Do you call vst plugins vst plugins or .ini plugins?
File extension has nothing to do with it. They're called Au plugins
