When I tried to activate via standalone mode, downloading the license file didn't work (can't use "send to email", used a burner address :P) and Reason doesn't recognize the plugin. So, uhm. Is it worth it pursuing the activation?
:reason: Most recent track: resentment (synthwave) || Others: on my YouTube channel •ᴗ•

I have worse synths for more money. Its ok, but also nothing special in theese days. Remember, it is just a player but you can upgrade cheap from time to time if you really want it. The patches are standard, but usefull. Its a "get it" if you do not already have plenty of stuff.

I have the whole bundle (Synthmaster 2.9, Synthmaster One and Synthmaster Player) and I had no problem with installation/activation. They all work perfectly in my Reason 11, Studio One 4.5, Reaper and Cakewalk and as standalone aplication. Actually I like some interesting patches for not too much money. Though I think the GUI is not very friendly for tweaking.
Studio One 6, Melodyne 5 Studio, Nord Stage, Roland RD-88, VR-730, Jupiter-Xm, JD-08, Arturia V Collection X, Pigments 5, Korg Collection 3, East West Cloud, Sampletank 4, Miroslav Philharmonic 2, Syntronik, Sampletron, Hammond B-3X, Blue 3, Pianoteq.

I am curious - what synth do you personally consider as "special" ?

Everything else than the 10000th reimplementation of a subtractive synth.

I bought the player and never got around to using it even once but eventually I did buy synthmaster one and 2 as a deal and I use them quite a lot. Obviously they're archetypal subtractive synths but synthmaster does do wavetable, fm and 'vector' (I've not really looked at that one much) and there's loads of parameters to tweak out with as well as filters and a pretty nice approach to semi modular routing.

You should still have access to your "burner" email address! ^_^
I have one email address that I use for more spammy purposes like that, and one that I (almost) just use for work.
And they're both GMail so even the spammy one is organised and well-filtered. No need to use fake email addresses these days.

That's not an RE. It is just the VST offered in the Reason Studios Shop.

Look at the preset list, it's like name dropping of who's who in the preset market. These presets would probably cost >$50 if you bought preset packs. This is a very generous offer, and there is probably a Synthmaster upgrade offer around the corner...
