Good VST alternatives to Quad Note Generator?

Any ideas (for use in other DAWs, obviously)?

I'm not looking for chord-progression helpers like Scaler, InstaChord or Captain Chords, but rather something like Riffer or MIDI Madness 3 but those 2 offer only fraction of functionality QNG provides and even then are more limited. Can't believe there's nothing comparable!

Props would make a killing selling porting and selling QNG (or Grain, or Parsec - for that matter) as VSTs.

Riffer looks interesting, then maybe Riff Generation for Kontakt (on sale atm but still pricy) could be an option

Thanks, I'll look into that!

I've also just found out about this - looks pretty overwhelming, but might be what I'm after:

Of course, any VST that generates MIDI out is not compatible with Reason yet (unless you use the crappy workarounds).

I know. I'm asking for using it in other DAWs :)

A Google search for "random note generator vst" yields some possible results.

Also try searching for "generator" at vst4free.com. Lots of cool stuff pops up, in addition to pure note generators.

I'm obviously aware of this possibility, but I rather wanted to get people's opinion & experience.
I'm not so keen on d/l dozens of possibly shady plugins from unknown sources :)
