So just getting back in to REASON. I have approx 100 instruments spread over 29 Companies, and 300 effects over 35 companies, I've started to reduce the amount available to be seen in my browser but what conventions are others using to manage their vst collections. Also everytime I select an instrument or effect in the browser the, browser reverts to my documents folder. how do I stop that behaviour its really really annoying to me and my workflow.
16 core@ 2.9ghz. pcie +sata3 ssd's. 96gb ram. Apogee AD16x> Motu 1296/2408mk3, Rosendahl Nanosync Maschine Studio+A25. K9U, 99 Waves VSTs, Air FX, Plug and Mix, BBE sweet, Soundspot, Eventide and Backline 3 bundles. etc etc...
Use [Strg]+[left arrow] to bring back the instrument list in the Browser after inserting an instrument.
Don't use the Browser, use the "right click" in the Rack or in the Sequencer to add intruments, effects and so on.
Save a preset of your favourite intruments and effects to the left side of the Browser.

I hear you and this annoyed me to no end. Until I found out about the checkbox in the preferences: "New devices get browse focus". Disable that! This way you also don't have to scroll to the last position you've been, the browser stays where it was at.NoobyOrNotNooby wrote: ↑18 Apr 2019So just getting back in to REASON. I create VST favorites and it took a little time to organize everything but now I'm flying:
And then within each plugin category you can move your favorite plugins to the top, like how my reverbs are set up here:

it seems that we all do not know how the browser works ... thank you for that tip, I'm now starting organizing
@hurricane
how did you get VST3 to work inside Reason?

I use Kushview Elements, which is kind of like a wrapper, then I simply load a VST3, save it as a preset, and add it to the shortcut list. I do the same thing for Reaktor instruments, or any instrument that has different libraries within itself, like Kontakt or UVI Workstation. Saving the individual libraries as presets saves a lot of time.
Thanks! I will give it a look.hurricane wrote: ↑20 Apr 2019I use Kushview Elements, which is kind of like a wrapper, then I simply load a VST3, save it as a preset, and add it to the shortcut list.
