The free TubeDriver, a tube amplifier emulation plug-in created by Nick Crow is my favourite for some time now. It even beats expensive well known plug-ins.

Why is this thing so cool?

Thanks, Marco, I'll give it a try. Haven't heard of it before.
Thanks to A-List and the RDK RE, recently started producing rock music in Reason, so this might come in handy!

HI. I ever considered you a top expert about distortion / tape effects ecc. So I'm unpatient to try this out!

son of a batch.
i went to your blog and you sounded pretty informed, so i read more and more entries.
then i bought your europa 80’s pack.
in a decade of using reason (and other daws) i have never bought a preset package... but i was genuinely amazed at the versatility of europa you got.
kudos.
i’m gonna be a regular blog reader from now on.

That is a good VST. Also look at Klanghelms distortion units, remarkably good for such low price.
