Does anyone have Cableguys ShaperBox working well?

Hi,

I like ShaperBox but ever since Reason 10.2 each instance takes ages to first load. 48 seconds per instance, in fact. This means that if I'm loading up a project with several instances it can take several minutes just to open the file. (Since I use ShaperBox for sidechain duties, this is a common occurrence.)

I've raised the issue with Cableguys but can I just check whether others are having this issue?

Use it myself frequently in latest Reason.... No delays loading for me. Maybe you should consider reinstalling the vst.

Windows 10. I used it last night and it was performing without a hitch. Hope you can sort it.

I'm on a Mac here some maybe something different there, although all the other Cableguys stuff works fine.

Just downloaded the demo of shaperbox. Looks good from the pics on the Cableguys site.

So let's see how it performs on my laptop...Intel i5-7200U, CPU @ 2.5ghz. 2.70ghz. 4gb RAM. Can anyone tell me why I have 2 ghz listings there? (sorry yo divert your thread here).

Also, what's people thoughts on Shaperbox?

EDIT - No problems here, 6 seconds to open it the first time. Worked well. Could it be a Mac issue?

I used it on my i7 3770K on windows when I was still using it, then on macbook pro 13" 2 cores and now on my macbook pro 13" quad core (which is a very good computer btw). It was always working good until Reason10.2 (and I'm on Mojave on Mac). It still works good but takes ages to load.

I use the TimeShaper module (the only one I bought) : very cool to create fills, and some tape effects IMHO. I should also experiment more with multiband stuttering with it. But problem is: so much stuff, so few moments to use (everything)

Mac, 4ghz i7, so pretty fast. 24gb ram.

I get the same long loading time on my mac book pro too.

I have Shaperbox with the filter, time, and volume and they all work without a hitch. I use it all the time. Im on a Ryzen 1700x, 16bg RAM, G-Force 1070 graphics.

Working fine here on Windows, in fact I was trialing and now it dropped to $79 (50%) so I've bought it.

These are incredible tools for me, it is hard for me now to think making a new track without it!

Hmm. Having the same issue with ShaperBox. Windows 10, I5, 12gb Ram and takes about 20 seconds to load and freezes Reason while doing it. Anyone figure out what the issue is yet?

Loads fine on Win10 here. Have you contacted both Props and Cableguys?

PH just passed me through to Cableguys. Cableguys were interested for a while - I was back and forth with a tech guy but it has gone very quiet. Thanks for the reminder - I will chase.

(In the meantime I've simply switched to volume shaper for sidechain duties as this works fine is basically the same, and unlike shaper box loads just fine.)

Im running a custom build. Ryzen 7 1700x 32gb RAM and 1070 GTX no over clock.

I have the same problem!! but intermittent.

I get the long loading times when opening files that use shaperbox and also when adding new instances of the plugin to new files, however when doing this it will sometimes be added quickly but others it will take a long time!

I also have a macbook pro i7 16gb ram and it's loading up slow on my computer as well. I had to revert back to the previous version of reason for it to load normally. The new update 10.3 came out yesterday so hopefully they resolved this issue. Otherwise I'll have to continue using 10.2.1....I'll try it out when I get home tonight.

Great News!!! ShaperBox loads right away now (for those that were having a problem with the macs) They fixed it in the newest reason update. I tried it on a few songs that had ShaperBox on them.

I have it and I have no problems with it. I cant think of anything but Im using it in 10.3 and was in 10.2 and no problems.
