Haven't seen much discussion on Padshop Pro around here, I've been keeping my eyes open for any discounts after hearing Simon Stockhausen's excellent collection of drones and pads for this VSTi. Seems like layering a few Grains in a combinator would reproduce a lot of functionality, yet I still couldn't resist when I saw the sale offer on Facebook (yes, I have a problem). Can't seem to find anything about it on Steinberg's website, but entering the code SYNTH18 at checkout gives a 50% discount on these two VSTi and their expansions. Ends Sept. 19th.

Well on Mac it's VST3 so incompatible with Reason as yet. For windows it's VST2 compatible so that's ok. Could be a reason why we haven't heard much about it though.

I've heard great things about PadShop Pro. What can it do that Grain can't?

Padshop pro is awesome, would get it if I could. But I guess Grain can do the same thing with some routing and tweaking.

Padshop Pro has been on my radar for quite a while, so jumped on this deal when I saw it a few days ago. Haven't had time to fully explore yet, but just cruising thru some of the presets put a big smile on my face. Great sounds!
