VAC-6V Released [FREE & Open source]

Hello everyone

I just released VAC-6V the new version of the rack extension VAC-6 as a VST plugin. It is free and like the A/B switch port it is also entirely open source so you can check the code and even modify it if you wish.

Compared to the rack extension this is what this new version features:
* brand new design
* in addition to zoom, the main LCD screen can be paused and scrolled (like CVA-7)
* the 3 numeric windows concept has been simplified
* clicking on the graph with the mouse allows to precisely select which point you want to analyze
* the left and right channels can be analyzed separately
* supports HiDPI (4k) monitors
* runs in any DAW with VST 2 or 3 support
* open source

You can download the new plugin by heading to the product page https://pongasoft.com/vst/VAC-6V.html

This project turned out to be a big endeavor as I was learning VST development. I would definitely appreciate any feedback.

Thanks
Yan

A quick update: I have released a minor upgrade to VAC-6V (1.2.0) https://pongasoft.com/vst/VAC-6V.html with improved scrollbar (including new zoom handles) and internal optimizations.

I tried to download that version but is a VST3 version. Not working on Reason as I knew before.

I found no versions working on Reason (Cause Reason actually supports VST 2.4) :?:

Yes there is. Simply read the README file included in the zip file:

Install instructions
====================

macOS (64 bits)
---------------
For VST2, copy VAC-6V.vst3 and RENAME into VAC-6V.vst under
- $HOME/Library/Audio/Plug-ins/VST for a single user
- or /Library/Audio/Plug-ins/VST for all users (may require admin access)
- or any DAW specific path (64bits)
MAKE SURE TO RENAME the file otherwise it will not work

For VST3, copy VAC-6V.vst3 under
- $HOME/Library/Audio/Plug-ins/VST3 for a single user
- or /Library/Audio/Plug-ins/VST3 for all users (may require admin access)
- or any DAW specific path (64bits)

For Audio Unit, copy VAC-6V.component under
- $HOME/Library/Audio/Plug-ins/Components for a single user
- or /Library/Audio/Plug-ins/Components for all users (may require admin access)
- Note: you may have to reboot your computer for the Audio Unit to appear in Logic
(or kill the AudioComponentRegistrar process(es))

Usage
=====
Check the documentation at https://pongasoft.com/vst/VAC-6V.html
