Orange Tree Samples just announced the start of their annual Group Buy sale today! They've got the best virtual guitars I've ever used or heard, and I highly recommend checking them out. (They also have basses and some other instruments!)

I currently own their Evolution Strawberry Electric Guitar, Evolution Mandolin, and SLIDE Lap Steel, and they're easily some of my favorite software instruments. They're super versatile and you can get some incredibly detailed and realistic performances out of them.

Here are a few of the demo songs from their site:
https://www.orangetreesamples.com/audio ... ensNow.mp3 (Evolution Jumbo 12)
https://www.orangetreesamples.com/audio/CanYouDigIt.mp3 (Evolution Infinity)
https://www.orangetreesamples.com/audio ... fMyEye.mp3 (Evolution Mandolin)
https://www.orangetreesamples.com/audio ... rtFuse.mp3 (Evolution Strawberry)
https://www.orangetreesamples.com/audio ... Cheese.mp3 (Evolution Jazz Archtop)
https://www.orangetreesamples.com/audio ... chwork.mp3 (SLIDE Lap Steel)

Their group buy discount amount increases as more potential customers put items into their group buy order here (you'll need an account). You don't need to commit to buying anything. Once 1500 people have joined in, the discount reaches its maximum amount of 60% off.

I've been waiting for this all year and am looking forward to expanding my instrument collection with some more guitars and basses :puf_bigsmile:

edit: The sale amount has already reached 40% off. I expect it to easily reach 60% before the sale ends in 20 days.
edit 2: Nearing 60% off!
edit 3: It's reached the full 60% off!

This skyrocketed past 1500 buyers last night for the full 60% off, so I pulled the trigger and bought a bunch of guitars and basses this morning.

Congrats on the purchase! Honestly, some of these libraries are simply fantastic. Once you get through the painful Kontakt GUI/UX  :puf_bigsmile: , in the right hands, many of these are pretty much indistinguishable from an actual guitarist. It's simply incredible.

Yeah, it can be a bit intimidating at first! After I bought Evolution Strawberry last year, I spent about 15 minutes feeling buyer's remorse until I explored a bit further and realized how much it was actually capable of. I'm still finding new techniques to use with it now. These are insanely deep instruments and I've yet to find any other virtual guitar that can match them for realism or versatility. I'm currently working on a soundtrack project featuring lots and lots of Strawberry, and the rough drafts already had one guitarist completely convinced that I had written and recorded them on a real guitar.

It's also nice that once you've learned your way around one of the Evolution guitars, the others all basically work the same way, so you can keep using your established workflow and don't have to go through another learning curve.
