I have it on my disc quite a while and mainly used as a pretty sick fx for pitch shifting, flanging and pretty weird combinations.
I knew it also can be used as a synth, but did not give it a real spin till know. I must say, it sounds pretty unique and cool. It uses 4 audio sources, where each audio is routed to a special engine (grain, fm or whatever) and all those engines are modulated together. All can be controlled on a handy X/Y pad. As i said, the results are sick, but pretty good and it is even more fun to modulate the x/y pad while playing.
You can also have a live audio input as a voice or record audio parts as each voice. Its a bit cumbersome that it does not also provide 4 stereo audio inputs, but hey...its free. Did i mention it is a free VST? You need to provide your email to get it.

One thing should be mentioned: THe generated audio sound different on each audio bit rate. Not sure if this is a bug or a "feature". Not sure if the company is still active, so there might not be a fix. But its still worht it imo.
Oh...and yes, i whish i could have this crazy stuff as a RE.
Do you know Hadron Particle Synthesizer?
Interesting. Thanks for sharing!
