Hey guys just got an email from Waves where they have a tie in promo with NI offering Komplete 11 Select for $99. Just looking for some feedback and random thoughts on this as well as how well the NI stuff runs in Reason. I guess one of the bigger draws for this for me is that NI usually has some very generous upgrade paths to the full meal deal especially around Black Friday.
Thanks in advance guys.

Do they have a crossgrade to the full Komplete? Been looking for a way to spend less than the $600. I really want Reaktor and its instruments but care less about all the Kontakt sample stuff in Ultimate.

My recommendation is to buy Komplete 11 select and then buy the upgrade for 199.99.
To use some VST programs you need the full Kontakt 5 sampler. This comes with Komplete 11 and not the select version. The full Kontakt 5 sampler by itself is way over priced at 399.99 but does come with Komplete 11 priced at 599.99....Always wait for sales.

If you're mainly interested in Kontakt, then your best bet is to crossgrade from the free DrumMic.A library. It's a crossgrade from an entirely free download, and that crossgrade has been eligible for sales before, so if you wait for a sale you can get a full version of Kontakt 5 legally from NI for around $130 in total.ltbrunt00 wrote: ↑11 May 2018My recommendation is to buy Komplete 11 select and then buy the upgrade for 199.99.

IMO, Komplete Select seems like a kind of less-than-exciting bundle, just a handful of spare parts to hopefully entice you to spend more on the rest of Komplete later.

This is exactly how I got the full version of Kontakt, and I don't even use DrumMic.A (I mean, it's not a bad library, it's just not remarkable). I paid $124.50 USD total for the full version of Kontakt 5, which is a great deal IMHO!esselfortium wrote: ↑11 May 2018If you're mainly interested in Kontakt, then your best bet is to crossgrade from the free DrumMic.A library. Still not sold on Komplete 11 Select, though.
