& you can download a free copy of computer music to try for a month on ios--> probably android too

just cancel sub before the month is up

so it's ---> free :)
Yeah that's how I got mine. Although I regularly subscribe. Only $2.99/month on Google Play. And can cancel anytime. Always good stuff to read and usually a good plugin included.

So i bought Vaccum Pro at sale from pluginbootique for 1,98€ incl. extension of presets, but under Reason10 it doesn´t work!
It´s unstable, and Reason gets freezed by this VST after several changes in the VST panel od vacuum.
Also there is a thread at the Air user support forum, that PH and Air are informed by users about the problem since Oct., but
it´s also not working after the last RE update!

But otherwise, for this keen price, it really sounds nice

Don´t buy it
or use it with a different VST host, but not directly in Reason

Indeed the air plugins crash in reason, but I would suggest to 'first' do some further research into the issue,
because there is an easy fix for all of them, including vacuum. Been mentioned too many times already. :puf_wink:

Air Plugs don't work 100% well in reason, though I hear that using a bridge they are more stable.
Pretty sure it's a Windows issue. They work fine on macOS.
The issue seems to be the vst wrapper in reason, which has a sample buffer lock of 64 samples,
imposed for all vst's. This locked buffer isn't handled well by the Air plugins.
Jbridge circumvents the issues though.

Still it is a fact that mostly, if not solely, Windows users are affected, and not macs,
so I'm wondering now how could the two be connected, where Macs handle the sample locked Air plugins well and Windows doesn't.

Gotta say, I'm liking these Air synths. Picked up Vacuum Pro and Hybrid 3 for about a buck each, and they're very nice. Activated to iLok account on my machine, so no dongle needed - no probs running them either (Mac)

For those using the AIR plugs.....

If you close the GUI on an AIR plug and try to re-open it, it crashes (on my windows system anyway)

SO....
Try this......
*DISCLAIMER* ------------------THIS IS JUST A WORKAROUND THAT WORKS FOR ME:

Click the "Keep Open" button when you open an AIR Plug (the "keep open" button is in the same place as the "Take screenshot" button on the VST Container window) then MINIMIZE the window instead of closing it when not in use. When you restore it from minimized, the Plug it works fine (on my system). The AIR Plugs only seem to crash on re-launch after the GUI was closed.

BUT..........If you do close the AIR plugin (assuming you realize that you closed it) then don't reopen the plugin GUI. Save the song file, close the Reason song file and open it again. The plug will open just fine when you re-open the VST's window. (NOTE: When you minimize a VST plug on my system, reason has an issue with dragging and dropping effects from to the rack. Just want to mention it. Doesn't always happen but it happens to me)

Have been using the AIR plugs in this fashion for a while. Its not great having to workaround but the AIR plugs are fab IMO so totally worth it.
(All the AIR Plugs can be gotten for next to nothing for the sharp eyed discount hounds also)

Hopefully Reason 10.x/11 will bring some more stability for these bad boys (no doubt)

Not sure if this works for anyone but it might help some folk. Either that or I am DOOOOOMED to suffer alone.
Be interested to hear if this helps

(Also, apologies if this workaround has been mentioned before but I couldn't find it anywhere)

I picked up Big Kick this morning 40% OFF.

I'm surprised I didn't see this while searching for a drum synth vst...

How are you liking it?

Edit: Oh i see that it's for shaping drums? I thought it was a synth.

I trialed Big Kick yesterday rather briefly to decided if it was worth it and I was sold after a short time.

I'd say it is more of a hybrid. There is synthesis of a simple sub layer and then the sample layering for the top end of the kick.

If you're looking for a full on sub synth then I recommend Bazzism which I also have. That is a very straightforward sub generator that doesn't disappoint.

Ah, okay fair enough.

I did try out Bazzism a while ago but ended up with Kick 2 because I really like how it uses visual envelopes to sculpt the kick/snare.

At first I was adamant to make kicks with a synth I already had, but it was proving to me more work than anything! I'm glad these tools exist!

Ohhh yeah Bazzism is definitely one of those "use your ears" devices! :D I think I've used it more for actual bass elements rather than the sound of standard punchy kicks so it shines in that area compared to other kick modules. Bazzism does have a visual section but it doesn't compare Kick 2.

Yeah for sure. I'm all about the efficiency myself especially with the goal of having a track done in one session. :D

Try keep the thread clear from unnecessary chat lads please. Not totally bargains but there is threads for Air plugs that specifically talk about that stuff! If people are skimming over they might miss the bargain, point of the thread is to keep bargains in the one place so you don't miss them.
It is not too much of an ask for people or things to be the best version of itself!

I maybe off topic here since what I am offering is free.
I signed up for the KVR news letter and every week they send me info on the latest doodads including a free section.
I have downloaded some really useful VST's because of this news letter so I'm tossing that out for the person with no budget.
Examples:
https://www.kvraudio.com/news/a-holiday ... tone-39781 <-if you have Kontakt 5

http://www.kvraudio.com/developer/ignite-amps
You don't have to sign up for the letter, you can just hit the site and check out what they are offering.

Unfiltered Audio have a nice little sale on right now https://www.unfilteredaudio.com/collections/sale

Sandman Pro and Fault at $29 apiece look pretty tempting
thanks for that

picked up sandman pro ---> already had fault --> got it on sale at plugin alliance @ 29 too :)

love their stuff
Just bumping this to say that I grabbed Sandman Pro today which is still on sale at $29, and completely amazing. I thought I was all done with delay units but this thing is a balls-out psychedelic swirling mind-melter. Plus it will do a nice dotted 16th ping pong if you're in a more traditional mood. There's nothing like it in Reason as far as I'm aware, not in one single device anyway. Highly recommended

P.S. If you buy it through Plugin Alliance (also $29), you get another Unfiltered Audio delay for free. But it's a very stripped-back piece of kit and doesn't really provide anything you haven't got in Sandman Pro

Nice find! It's an awesome plugins bundle, a proverbial sandbox :)

I really like both the EQs, the Multipass and most of the SnapIns. There's also a -50% cross-grade for REs if someone doesn't know what to do with the money :)

Ahh, cool, they did it again. The synth sounds pretty nice. It was a bit unstable. Did not tried it in 10+ yet.
