Bargain Alert Thread [All VST's]
It is a processor, so it requires incoming audio to work. But it can augment and even synthesise each part of a kick sound, so if you feed it a little "blip" sound to trigger it (they supply blip.wav for this purpose) and set it 100% wet, it can be a kick synth on its own.
What a deal $1! Thanks for the heads-upLoque wrote: ↑04 Jul 2018Ahh, cool, they did it again. The synth sounds pretty nice. It was a bit unstable. Did not tried it in 10+ yet.LarsK wrote: ↑04 Jul 2018Saw this on KVR:

There is also a refill called the Fresh Air Pack Vol 1 for a $1 too.
Sounds fantastic been using it for an hour or so Reason10 Win10 64bit - no problems yet
Tell you what though - the first 5 or so YouTube videos "demoing" Sasquatch Kick Machine are some of the most frustrating dumb-fuckery you'll ever try and sit through.
It's quite probably worth buying just to make a decent demo video. You'll get loads of views.

My findings are that Sasquatch shares much ground with the Kong modules, but goes further in each aspect.
I find with the Kong Synth Bass Drum module, no matter what you do with the pitch and the bend and the click and the decay, there's actually not much variety of sound available. Pick a kick sample at random from your collection, a 909 say, and try and replicate it with Kong's synth (plus the noise and other effects models). Mostly, you can't.
So Sasquatch has the benefit that you can do more, and the major benefit that you can quickly set an actual note for your kick rather than just twiddling a pitch knob until it sounds vaguely in tune. You can also play it chromatically, for 808 basslines and whatnot.
On my computer there's a mousing bug on the Frequency knob in the Click edit menu. Can anyone else replicate this? (I had a similar problem with Surreal Machines' Diffuse, but they managed to fix it.) I'll email Boz about it later.
If you find it bug-free, definitely worth $18, I'd say.
