Why bridge this synth? you have to install 64 bit of this / or other synths, when you have 64 system

Actually, you can bridge 32-bit plugins to any 64-bit VST host using Jbridge. It's a bit convoluted, but it works.
Win 10 | Ableton Live 11 Suite |  Reason 12 | i7 3770k @ 3.5 Ghz | 16 GB RAM | RME Babyface Pro | Akai MPC Live 2 & Akai Force | Roland System 8, MX1, TB3 | Dreadbox Typhon | Korg Minilogue XD

Windos 10.

None of the Roland VST works fine with Reason 9.5 or 10. I mean they do work but if you press EDIT button on their GUI to expand VST and actually edit patches (or sequencer on 909x808) - nothing is happening but you have to close that Roland VST and reopen it and then EDIT window appear.

Just confirmed with JV 1080, D50, and 909, 808.

Same instruments works fine on FL Studio, Reaper, Live and Cubase (also just tried). Pressing EDIT in these apps does open their editors just fine.

It looks to me like Reason is having issues when VST need to resize window. As i said it's not show stopper because you close and reopen it and it's there but it would be cool if instrument could work as supposed.

Fingers crossed they are working on update

I updated to 10.1 and played around with my AIR plugins last night without any crashes. Looks like this problem was solved! Thank you Props, well done.

I updated to 10.1 and i can confirm that nothing changed when it comes to Roland plugins (which work in every other DAW i tried). See my report just few post above. It is not showstopper though..one just have to know how to get "into" missing window as being reported above.

However i am not worried at all. They said they are working on updating VST so no problem for me.

Oh, that was "my" bug - reported just 2 weeks ago or so... :)

But this is something different than discussed in this thread.

The bug mentioned in the release notes was like this:

1. Add an arbitrary VST to the rack
2. Open the VST window
3. Now check the "Undo" entry of your menu: it usually wants to undo the "add to rack" step.
4. If you now (with open VST window) trigger the Undo, then Reason crashes completely (which means: the application terminates without further warning)

So the VST's are not to blame - it's an overlooked state in Reason: remove VST from rack while its window is still open.
