Plugin showing MIDI notes

Hey, I am learning note reading and I am looking for a VST plugin (or external software) that would show me notes as I press keys on my MIDI keyboard. Please note I do not want any audio processing/recognition plugin, but rather a MIDI plugin that simply shows a note.

There was an app for iPhone that was supposed to recognize notes but it did not work at all.

It shows both notes and chords. I don't know of any equivalent VSTs though...

I have that RE already, I want notes on treble/bass clef.

Although it's not a VST, it can export to MIDI once you've recorded/written the score. Closest I've got...
